Molly Ivins passed away last night in her home in Austin, TX. She was a great journalist who mainly covered all things political in Texas with grace, simplicity, and knee cap busting humor. Her voice was one of a courageous woman/human being, pursuing a progressive agenda in a way not reliant on money, whinnying bitter name calling, or kow towing to power or ‘the way things are,’ fatalism. I for one will miss the hell out of her spirit that effused in every honest word that poured out of her pen and mouth.
