Summer Acquittal
For every summer scratched acquittal…

1.
i want a friendly divorce
from inanimate kings (light switch plates alive/procession to a rotting gate)
fashioned from the most coarse-common things
have assembled in kid snowstorm pictures
Four-star hotels built deep in your neglected hair
where a grotesque pit of fenced in dirt did time
in a rainy city/or a rainy city lived
as neglected hair for a day as an experiment run by
grotesque pool neglecters still on staff at a one star castle
2.
Wanna be woebegone before my batteries kick
thumbs tumescent and cartoon lumps
for birds to fly around messages of distress
from what’s between rocky and inert
a mummified bride staring at her hands
still no alerting a powder puff savior
sick birds over picket lines
come alive
with the verve of perforated sires
of no particular being to be
what’s left?
migrating sub species hang gliding into
the now or newer now
new not to me
wheeling over blue construction hats
a glue commercial gone wrong
obstructing a view that no one notices or lacks
except a cocktail maker double shifted more than smart
nodding off with soda guns buttons peeling free
and a poem scratched on a late summer arm
3.
She was tired enough to let her guard be her guard
and think like every mystery witness
wailing into continents of different courts
with their throats in there scuffed up hearts
and the judges double gavel swinging rodeo thugs
minimum maximum I’m so tough
I’ll execute the payphone relaxers
I’ll leave this stranded dialer for the sand swim up and suck down
Perhaps better…
sentenced to a lobby where the magazines
slowly fuckup your circulation
every rivulet a capsized expletive ordered into a soap opera confession machine
nodding off with soda gun
and a poem scratched on a late summer arm
